ISO 9001 certification in Singapore
ISO 9001 is the international standard for a quality management system (QMS). In Singapore it is certified by bodies accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC), and it is the baseline quality credential buyers expect of a manufacturer or engineering supplier. The current version is ISO 9001:2015.
Seen most in Precision Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing . Common among CNC machining services .
What it is
A framework for consistent quality — documented processes, management review, corrective action and continual improvement. It is generic, not industry-specific, and underpins most sector-specific standards below.
Who needs it in Singapore
Effectively every manufacturer, machine shop, fabricator and engineering-services firm bidding for industrial or MNC work; often a tender prerequisite.
How to get it
Implement a compliant QMS, then be audited by a SAC-accredited certification body (three-year cycle with annual surveillance).
