Cleanroom assembly services in Singapore
Assembly of devices and components in controlled environments where airborne particle counts are regulated to ISO 14644 classes. Covers gowning, filtered air, and contamination control for implants, catheters, diagnostics, and optical and electronic parts. Buyers select on certified cleanroom class, particle-monitoring records, and quality system certification.
Cleanroom assembly is the contract service of building medical devices, in-vitro diagnostics, drug-delivery products and precision components inside ISO 14644-classified controlled environments — typically ISO Class 7–8 (Class 10,000–100,000), with ISO Class 5 (Class 100) reserved for the most critical operations — under a ISO 13485 quality system and, where drug-contact applies, GMP. The scope is micro-assembly, kitting, validated bonding and welding, automated testing, and cleanroom packaging with full lot traceability. The buyer's evaluation stack is narrow and specific: cleanroom class and footprint, ISO 13485 / GMP certification, assembly and automation capability, and the medical-versus-semiconductor-versus-precision mix of the line. This service must not be confused with cleanroom construction — the design-and-build of the room itself (HVAC, HEPA/ULPA, fan-filter units, wall systems), which on the Index belongs to the semiconductor sector's `cleanroom-construction` slug (Exyte, Acromec, Taikisha, Airtech). Here the cleanroom is the setting; the product is a finished, validated device.
The genuine Singapore set is small and honestly bounded. A handful of firms sell cleanroom assembly as a named service line — Racer Technology (ISO Class 7 and 8, full-turnkey medical assembly and sterilisation), Beyonics (ISO Class 8 / Class 100,000 for injection moulding, device assembly and IVD reagent filling), Forefront Medical (Singapore-and-China medical contract manufacturer, assembly and packaging), and Inzign (disposable-device injection moulding with automated cleanroom assembly). Behind them sit device and EMS makers with in-house cleanroom lines rather than a marketed service — Jabil/Nypro, Sunningdale Tech, PCI and Meiban — whose medical segments run cleanroom moulding and assembly but whose specific classifications need own-site verification. Capacity concentrates in the western belt and Tuas Biomedical Park, and the capability overlaps the semiconductor hub, where the same ISO 14644 discipline governs wafer-adjacent assembly. Padding this list would misrepresent it: perhaps four true named-service providers, plus four device makers to dedup and confirm.
