Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Singapore Industry Index (the “Index”) at theindustryindex.com (the “Site”), operated by Offing Media Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 201607408E) (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. About the Index

Singapore Industry Index is a record of companies in Singapore’s industrial economy, compiled from publicly available sources and from information submitted by members. It is provided for general information and business-discovery purposes.

2. No warranty of accuracy

Information on the Site, including company records, is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we take reasonable care, we do not warrant that any information is accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose. You should independently verify any information before relying on it, and any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.

3. Company records and relationships

Company records — including reference entries that a company has not itself claimed — are compiled from publicly available sources. Unless expressly stated, the presence of a company on the Site does not indicate any partnership, endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation between that company and the Index, and the Index does not act as the agent of, and does not collect enquiries on behalf of, any company except where that company has expressly authorised it. Company names, logos and trade marks remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and reference only. If you are authorised to act for a company and wish to correct, claim or request removal of its record, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

4. Enquiries

Where the Site allows you to submit an enquiry, we may facilitate contact but do not guarantee that any company will respond or that any transaction will result. Enquiries relating to companies that are not authorised members are received and handled by the Index, not the company named.

5. Member accounts

To use member features you must provide accurate, current and complete information, keep it updated, and verify your telephone number. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your access secure. We may suspend, restrict or remove any account or record, or refuse service, at our discretion, including where we believe information is inaccurate or the Site is being misused.

6. Films and media

Films and other media featured on the Site are produced by Offing Media Pte. Ltd. and are published in accordance with the applicable production agreements. All intellectual property rights in such media are owned by Offing Media Pte. Ltd. or its licensors.

7. Intellectual property

The Site, its design, text, compilation of records, and all related content (excluding third-party marks used for reference) are owned by or licensed to Offing Media Pte. Ltd. and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, harvest, republish, or create derivative works from any part of the Site or its data without our prior written consent.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Site unlawfully or for any improper purpose; scrape, data-mine, or use automated means to extract data; interfere with or disrupt the Site or its security; misrepresent your identity or authority; or use the Site to infringe the rights of others.

The Site may contain links to, or rely on, third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and provide such links without endorsement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Index and Offing Media Pte. Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any information on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Site shall not exceed one hundred Singapore dollars (S$100).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Index, Offing Media Pte. Ltd. and their officers, employees and agents against any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

13. Changes

We may amend these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Site, and your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
